As part of our affiliation with Yale Emergency Services, W1YU will be participating in upcoming SKYWARN nets and activations. All members of W1YU are highly encouraged to take this training. Note that this is the only SKYWARN training scheduled in Region 2 for 2017.
SKYWARN Spotter Training is part of your CT ARES Training Path. - Learn what you need to know in order to participate successfully in our New Haven and Middlesex County SKYWARN Nets.
Theses training sessions are typically about three hours long (max) and cover fundamental information that every spotter needs to know, with a focus on safety, identification of key weather features and proper reporting procedures.
